For the past 3 years, volunteers with the Love With Humanity Association have been dedicating their time to community projects like coffee with seniors and a free outdoor multicultural public library. Like many grassroots organizations, they have stepped up to meet the needs and challenges faced in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are operating a free, outdoor community food bank where people can come and drop off or pick up non-perishable food items 24 hours-a-day. They have also been delivering food hampers in and around Calgary and the surrounding area to people in self-isolation. The Love With Humanity Association feels that now more than ever, it is important to ensure that no one goes without daily necessities. Through their initiatives, they are making sure that everyone in their community has what they need to get through this difficult time.
