For Allyson Busch of Grande Cache, volunteering comes with its own rewards. Giving back to the community by getting involved in numerous volunteer activities has given the 17-year-old even greater confidence to take on new challenges.
A recent graduate with the Class of 2020, Allyson has been a voice for students during both her middle and high school years, serving on the Summitview School Council and later as Student Council president at Grande Cache Community High. Her experiences there also led to a seat on the Superintendent’s Youth Council with the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division. Her extracurricular volunteer activities have included contributions as Junior Firefighter and as member of the Ottawa Citizen Council and the Rotary Club of Grande Cache.
With plans to pursue a career in medicine, Allyson has already put her passion into action, volunteering with the youth rural medicine program in Mongolia as part of the Grande Cache Healthier Together Action Team.
Allyson leads by example. Driven by a commitment to community service and a positive outlook, Allyson has emerged as a mentor helping others to realize their potential as she strives to realize the goals she has set for herself and as a member of the community.
Honour the contributions of an amazing individual or group.
