Big hearts come in small packages! The proof of that is in the amazing volunteer contributions of 11-year-old Allysha Nolasco.
Allysha is driven by the belief that any act of kindness, big or small, will make a difference in a person’s life. Whether it is volunteering with the Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids organization to decorate lunch bags for children and envelopes for the grocery gift cards sent to families, or using her artistic talents to raise funds for non-profits like the Kids Cancer Care Foundation, Allysha is making a difference in the lives of those she may never meet.
With a passion for community service, it was not surprising that Allysha would find ways to contribute her time and talents during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to distribute “ear savers” to mask-wearing healthcare providers. By creating cheerful greetings cards as a way to deliver smiles to kids dealing with the pandemic in remote countries – and always looking for a chance to share a heartfelt greeting with others in her community – Allysha has definitely shown that no matter the size of deed, you can do a whole lot of good for someone going through difficult times.
