Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The MD of Opportunity has issued a wildfire alert.

There is out of control wildfire east of Chipewyan Lake. It is burning west towards the community. The wildfire threatens the only route in and out.

Area: This alert is in effect for Chipewyan Lake.

Affected areas (1):

• Opportunity No. 17

Action to take:

• Evacuate immediately
• Register at the reception centre at the Wabasca Lakeview sports centre, located at 102 Opportunity drive, where accommodations will be arranged
• If you require transport, go to the Chipewyan Lake air strip
• If you require fuel, go to the MD transportation yard
• Bring important documents and medications
