“Our moms are at the heart of who we are. Moms define and shape the people we become, they provide the guidance we live by and they are the ideal we try to match.
“Each and every day, moms work hard, in and out of the home, to care for their families. They make sacrifices, put their kids first and offer boundless love and encouragement. On any given day, they can be counsellors, defenders and best friends. They are also human beings who need a hand sometimes.
“I’m proud that our government can help them, and all parents, with programs like our affordable child care pilot and new family friendly workplace rules that protect jobs for those who need to take leave to care for a sick kid.
“To spend time with our mothers is a privilege. I hope Albertans have the chance to show their gratitude and appreciation to the women who raised them, as we celebrate the special place our moms hold in our lives.
