This release was issued under a previous government.

During the course of regular maintenance this spring, it was discovered that additional work to rehabilitate the Dunvegan crossing of the Peace River is required this year. The bridge was reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic on May 15 to allow for rehabilitation work to take place.

The work to rehabilitate some of the steel components on the bridge is expected to take roughly one month, weather permitting. The speed limit on the bridge will be reduced to 50 km/h and traffic signals will be put in place. Please follow all signs and speed limits while this work is underway.
