The forum brings together state and provincial government and business leaders from western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest to discuss economic issues that affect the region. Topics for this year’s forum include transportation, energy use in buildings, technology, agriculture and the forestry industry.

The Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) is a non-profit organization created in 1991 by the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Its goals include: promoting greater regional collaboration; enhancing the competitiveness of the region; and, coordinating provincial and state policies.
The estimated cost for MLA Luff’s trip to Boise, including travel, is $2,900.
