This construction season alone, crews will log an estimated 1.4 million man hours to continue surging forward with the Northeast Anthony Henday Drive project.

This work paves the way for fall 2014 when motorists will have access to a new interchange, new pavement and two new bridges.

Motorists are advised that speed reduction detours and lane closures, will be in place along Northeast Anthony Henday and Yellowhead Trail, throughout the summer.

Drivers should give themselves extra travel time as crews continue work on the single largest highway construction project ever undertaken in this province.

The Edmonton ring road is on track for completion in 2016. The Alberta government has committed more than $4 billion toward construction of the ring road, including the northeast section, a $1.81 billion investment, scheduled to open in 2016.
