Visitors will have the opportunity to discover unique crafts, gifts and homemade products from the Peace Country. Tours of the four historic buildings will also be offered on the hour throughout the day. Activities and crafts for children make this a family-friendly way to spend the day.

Established as a fur trade fort in 1805, Historic Dunvegan has been home to the Dunne-Za First Nations, the North West Company, Hudson’s Bay Company, as well as Catholic and Anglican missions. The visitor centre is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until September 3 and offers guided tours, self-guided walks, a gallery, a film presentation and a gift shop featuring locally made products. An adjacent provincial campground offers 67 campsites and a large day use/picnic area with a playground and horseshoe pits.

Admission to the market is free. Admission to Historic Dunvegan is $3 for adults, $3 for adults, $8 for a family (two adults and their children ages 7-17), $2 for seniors and $1.50 for youth (ages 7-17). Children six and under are admitted free.
