The CSG helps member states and provinces maintain subnational relationships, and provides links to the U.S. federal government.

This year, conference topics include trade agreements, investment attraction, workforce development, the incoming U.S. federal administration and more.

The Commonwealth of Virginia will also make a presentation about its new stand-alone state agency for trade, the Virginia International Trade Corporation, which is set to open next year.

The new Virginia International Trade Corporation will be a valuable point of contact for Alberta and Alberta businesses.

The CSG National organization is the lead co-ordinating organization for five regional affiliate organizations - CSG Washington D.C., CSG West, CSG Midwest, CSG South and CSG-East. It is a forum that brings together lawmakers and government leaders from all U.S. states and territories and associate members. Alberta participates as an affiliate member on the international partnership program of the CSG National organization and is an associate member with the CSG West and Midwest afiliates.
