This year, the Great Kids Award highlights kids who have made positive contributions while overcoming challenges, such as living with an illness, standing up against bullying or other difficult life circumstances.

“Alberta’s kids deserve recognition because they are leaders to their peers and great examples to all Albertans. I encourage Albertans to recognize young leaders for making positive contributions to their communities in the face of adversity, and standing up for what they believe in.”

Irfan Sabir, Minister of Human Services
