This release was issued under a previous government.
The province is providing $5 million to the Chinese Christian Wing Kei Nursing Home Association through ASLI, a capital grant program to support long-term care and dementia spaces in Alberta.

The original ASLI agreement for Wing Kei Greenview Phase II was for 24 long-term care beds, 18 supportive living 4 dementia beds and 36 supportive living 4 beds. After a review was initiated by government, the grant agreement was amended to provide 78 spaces at a higher level of care.
The Government of Alberta has earmarked $365 million as part of its commitment to build 2,000 long-term care and dementia spaces in the next four years.
