“From founding the ATCO Group, to establishing Spruce Meadows and putting Alberta on the international equestrian stage, to the countless community projects he supported, Ron dreamed big, achieved so much, and all Alberta benefited.
“Ron’s many endeavours created Alberta jobs, contributed to our pride and made Alberta a show-jumping destination. We are forever grateful for his vision, his generosity and his shining example of community support.
“Alberta was proud to honour him in 2012 with the Alberta Order of Excellence and a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
“He will be sorely missed.”
